Bataan Governor Joet Garcia allocated PhP 6 million in Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program for Mariveles.

He confirmed this during the flag raising ceremony at the Mariveles Municipal Hall, November 28, for the pre-launch of Bisita Bayan kada Buwan Program.

Mariveles Mayor AJ Concepcion, in his message, highlighted the responsibility of government officials to guide their constituents and that improving their lives is the end goal of public service.

Governor Garcia, in his speech, acknowledged the town as the first in the province to officially switch on the lights in its municipal hall, symbolizing the start of the much-awaited Christmas season.

He also gave an update on the recent visit of representatives of Asian Development Bank (ADB); the progress of the major infrastructure to rise in Mariveles, the Bataan – Cavite Interlink Bridge; and the passing of a resolution encouraging digital payments to help ease transactions between business owners and consumers in the province.

Moreover, Governor Joet discussed the plans to strengthen primary health care especially now that all rural health units and district hospitals in Bataan are Philhealth Konsulta-accredited and we are one of the pilot provinces for the implementation of Universal Health Care Law.

After said flag-raising ceremony, Gov. Joet met with the Municipal Councilors and Civil Society Organization representatives to encourage them to participate in the Community-Based Monitoring System and EduChild Parenting Program.
